A MULTISENSORIAL SPACE CELEBRATING THE SCENTS OF NATURE

Casa Profumoir’s Garden celebrates the scented nature of the Mediterranean.

Varieties of Rosa Centifolia and Muscosa frame the entrance to the extraction laboratory, surrounded by Cistus, Rosemary, Red Oregano and Sage. Creeping Gardenias and Osmanthus complete the olfactory palette.

This serene green space invites guests to relax under a mimosa tree, indulge in a outdoor hydromassage inside the antique brass shower, or savor a meal amidst the aromatic flora.

At the end of the aromatic path, you will find the Extraction Laboratory: here, ancient stills distill essential oils from carefully harvested plants.

Herbs and flowers

Just like Profumoir fragrances, Casa Profumoir’s garden is designed as a collection of perfumes, where nearly every plant has fragrant flowers or leaves. Roses are the stars, hanging from arches leading to the extraction laboratory. The design alternates between lush, plant-rich corners and open areas, offering places to sit and immerse oneself in the rich tapestry of aromas.

The Extraction Laboratory

The Extraction Laboratory, where raw materials are transformed into essences, marks the culmination of the Garden’s aromatic journey.

Once the plant materials are harvested during the most favorable astrological period, the first phase involves extracting essential oils through steam distillation.

The process involves three stages: steam distillation to extract essential oil, creating an alcoholic solution from remaining plant material, and calcination to obtain plant salts.

These three components -essential oil, alcohol and salt- are then combines at the optimal astrological moment to create the quintessence.
